👋 Hey AM community, do you know the people behind GKN Additive and Forecast 3D MFG Around the world, we are a team of true AM enthusiasts! This is the latest part of our #WhoWeAreWednesday series: Have you met Torsten Hilgers? As a production planner, Torsten is responsible for a super-wide array of responsibilities: From data preparation for our 3D printers to machine utilization and deadline monitoring for internal and external termination. In his additional role as safety inspector, he also ensures safe and clean production in our site Bonn, Germany. 👷♂️ Torsten is a state-certified technician of mechanical engineering and one of the first GKN Additive Team members! 🙌 He has been with GKN since 2007 and prior to joining our team in 2016, he gathered extensive expertise at the GKN Sinter Metals tool shop. 🛠 🥾 Outside of work, Torsten loves playing the drums, going hiking with his family, and spending quality time in his own garden. 🚜 Fun fact: As a "balance" to working in the highly innovative additive environment, Torsten restores old-timer tractors and drives them for fun. But since he is also a hobby-farmer - they are really handy!
