❄ Did you know that the "Ahrntal Valley", one of the snowiest areas in South Tyrol, Italy just faced the coldest Winter in 20 years? In the midst of the forests at over 1600m above sea level, there is a building that operates off one of the most innovative, off-grid CO2 emission-free energy systems in the world: The Knappenhaus! With the opening of the Knappenhaus project in 2019, GKN's Hy2Green energy system has taken the step from a pilot project to full operating mode under some of the toughest conditions in the Alps.
