In this video, we measure the productivity of a general-purpose drill and a material-specific drill so you can see what's right for your type of application. We do that by drilling blind holes into a block of 4140 steel with both drills running at their top recommended speeds and feeds. We show them side by side so we can see the speed/feed comparison.
