👋 Hey AM community, do you know the people behind GKN Additive and Forecast 3D MFG Around the world, we are a team of true AM enthusiasts! This is the latest part of our new #WhoWeAreWednesday series: Have you met Ümit Aydin? He joined our team in 2016 as the Global Business Development Director AM. In his role, Ümit focuses on supporting our customer's growth with additive manufacturing, to break new ground in product development, and to implement the technology into their own process chains. Ümit completed his M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Duisburg. He started his career at GKN Sinter Metals in 2002 and gained experience in multiple roles from Product- and Tool Designer to Product and Engineering Director. 🙌 Outside of work, Ümit loves to celebrate the small moments: Like 🍷 drinking a good glass of wine, 🚬 smoking a cigar, having a 💬 great conversation with a friend. And just like (almost) every engineer, Ümit is passionate about cars. 🏎 👾 Fun fact: Ümit is a barista: he celebrates whenever possible a good espresso made on his protafilter machine with fresh ground coffee.
